Practice on Purpose

Through our signature Practice on Purpose program, Dharma Project partners with organizations and communities that experience high levels of stress and/or trauma to provide them with the tools and practices to care for themselves. The individuals served through this program experience improved health, self-awareness, improved body image, and mental and emotional stability. They are also more equipped for high stress situations, while simultaneously lowering their risk of burn-out.

How It Works:

PILOT SESSION: Book a single pilot session for your organization . This will provide exposure to your staff/clients and pave the way for ongoing self care practices to be implemented in the culture of your community.

10 SESSIONS: 10 Session Yoga Package focuses on alleviating the stress public servants and community members experience in and out of the work environment. The program also teaches how to improve breathing and breath capacity, balance heart rate, reduce stress levels, and how to cultivate a calm and focused mind. The tools learned during session will also demonstrated to be valuable in other environments, such as work and home life.

The 10-week curriculum can expand into  a year-round program for an organization, police department, or education facility.

Give Yoga, Get Yoga

Dharma Project, in partnership with All Life is Yoga, is pleased to announce a yoga teacher training program that can be paid with yoga service. Hour for hour. The number of hours you train for are the number of hours you offer to teach in the community. The Dharma Project has partnered with many community based organizations that are doing powerful work to support the well-being of ALL Atlanta residents. This program will allow teachers to provide their work in communities that have little to no exposure to yoga.

How It works:

Must commit to 100 hours or more to participate in this opportunity. Contractual agreement. Certificate received upon completion of exchange. Full trade or partial payment and trade options are available. This program is applicable for both the 200 hour and 300 hour trainings. Hour must be completed in an agreed time frame. The application process is competitive and the number of participants accepted are limited.

The Dharma Project is committed to developing a more inclusive yoga community for Atlanta. The current demographic that yoga serves is 75% white women. Many people do not consider yoga as something for them. When people see themselves represented in the leadership, they are more likely to participate. Therefore, this training opportunity will give priority to people of color, men those that want to share yoga with varying body sizes and those who have a financial barrier to participate in a teacher training course.

Applications are now closed. Please check back later.
